Ron Calderon

Ron Calderon is a research assistant and ethnographer working on projects with Dr. Ippolytos Kalofonos on homelessness, and access to care for people with serious mental illness.  He also worked for over a decade on these subjects with Dr. Braslow and Marcia Meldrum, PhD.  He coordinated the team of ethnographers who conducted the participant-observation fieldwork and qualitative interviews for the Center’s three-year evaluation (completed 2019) of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health’s Assisted Out-Patient Treatment Program. Ron has a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from UCLA and is currently completing his Masters in Social Work at UCLA.
