Dr. Blair is an ER, consultation-liaison, and outpatient psychiatrist with Kaiser Permanente. He completed residency in Psychiatry at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior in 2016, after receiving an MD from the University of California, San Francisco (2012) and an MS from the University of California, Berkeley (2010). He is broadly interested in the history of medicine, medical ethics, and health services. Specific research areas include solitary confinement and mental illness in the criminal justice system; the history of mental health professionals’ responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic; and psychiatric ER operations, from both logistical and ethical perspectives. He is also a member of the Board of the UCLA Psychiatric Clinical Faculty Association (PCFA) and coordinator of the PCFA’s resident mentoring program.
