Alex is a primary care physician and with a PhD in history of science, medicine, and technology. He is interested in United States disability policy, particularly in relation to the health care safety net. His practice and scholarship largely focus on medically complex patients and persons with disabilities. He is also researching how epidemic diseases shape federal, state, and local health policy.
