Marisol Ramos

Marisol Ramos is the Senior Administrator at the Center for Social Medicine and the Senior Project Manager for the UCLA Ecological Medicine and Psychedelic Studies Initiative. With over two decades of experience in philanthropy, community organizing, and nonprofits, she has expertise in migration, higher education, and climate policy at the institutional, state, and national levels. Previously, Marisol worked with the 128 Collective, Pop Culture Collaborative, and the New World Foundation, where she managed philanthropic support for organizations advocating for climate change, educational equity, immigrant rights, and the use of pop culture for social change in the U.S. and globally. Marisol also has a strong research background including work with the Confident Future research project housed at New York University, as well as the Community College Research Center at Teachers College, Columbia University, the Michigan Department of Education, and the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good at the University of Michigan. She co-founded three nonprofits, including the national United We Dream Network, the New York State Youth Leadership Council, and, most recently, Boyle Heights Cats—a community-led initiative focused on Trap-Neuter-Return-Monitoring (TNRM), cat rescue, and fostering projects in Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles. Marisol holds a dual Master’s degree in Public Policy and Higher Education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a B.A. in English Literature and Women’s Studies with Honors from Hunter College, City University of New York.
